Deepavali Holiday

David & I had brunch at Bon Gout (the Japanese book cafe), then he bumped into his friend Ervin who's girlfriend Iyori became my friend, then got together with Desmond at Book Cafe, where I met Dion & David met his friend. All these people within 100m radious!

At night I had the honor to be his date for a dinner with his boss Joe, his wife & the baby, Nihdi (colleague) and her date at Da Paolo (or Michelangelo? We switched from one to another, forgot which we ended up at...) anyway, David made sure all prerequisite was met, like vegitarian, indoor (coz of haze) and baby freindly. Everything went well and we ended the holiday nicely. (phew!)

$10 Unisex Hair Cut

Went to salon near my office, introduced by my colleague who has beautiful lock. The salon was tucked in one of the Tampines block, few Ah bengs sitting outside and inside was filled with Indian sistas & hot Malay young moms, it was like Jenny from the bronx.
Then I saw the sign, $10 hair cut ! (wash is additional $8).

Obviously I got nervous... I was so ready to stop the stylist as soon as I felt not right.

But I'm so happy it turned out nice, all for $20 (what's a $2 tip after all the worry!)

Connor-san's 23rd

I don't mean to emphasize on the age but Connor turned 23.
At the tender age of 23, he talks and act like a worldly well behaved Japanese guy, no wonder he has many Japanese girl friends. Heh...guys, it's easy to be jealous towards him but what are you gonna do. He's 23, speaks Japanese fluently, and well, he is a clever boy. The most you get out of him is his positive vibe so contagious.






So naturally the party was a good one. After the 'free-style' (come in and out as you like) gathering at Brewerks, some of us head down to Hideout. Again, great music, cool crowd and basically good time

Lately I've been noticing kids, especially the quiet nice obedient cute kids. I'd be lying if i said i have no thoughts of... But on a contrary, i also can't help noticing spoilt noisy brats and get so irritated.

Clara (forcing and faking a smile for auntie Naomi) is so pretty and mature! Yes Silvie, soon she will ground you! Wish I had one like her instantly, without first finding the donor and the agonizing 9mths :P

Reunited (coz it feels so good)

In the morning, Brett asked me if the girl with a broken toenail in my blog is 'Selina'. It's not. It's 'Ling'. But he was so sure, it was the girl he dated 5yrs ago, for a good 1 yr. After describing her, it seems kind of like Ling, but still, it's not Selina.
So we took out our phone side by side and saw her number....
IT'S THE SAME PERSON!
So we set up to meet her right away. Oh what a sweet surprise to reunite again with Selina a.k.a 'Ling' or Ling a.k.a 'Selina'!

The mid week catch up blew up so huge.

If there was anything gainfully productive about the Ibiza night at Attica, it was the mental preparation it gave us for the Halloween just around the corner.
Silvia, Priya and I was oddly but finally unenthusiastic about going out, perhaps because we know what the story will be... We realized we are doing it for the sake of, well dressing up...Some girls just can't seem to grow out of the childhood amusement of messing up Mom's closet & the vanity box. It was a nostalgic moment.

Well I felt a little insecure with my office wear at Velvet so I exchanged the bottom with the cleaner lady til I felt even more stupid in her loose jeans.

But yeah it's just my luck, he's only a passerby leaving S'pore at 8am flight! duh!

Ex Colleague Reunion Birthday Party

Just got a news the department where I was, in Polo will be moving to HK... apparently there were many tears and fears...
It's sad for those who put their long hard working hours for the promotion...

Little that we know, the 3 ex Polo had a little birthday reunion.

Estee's boyfriend is so sweet! He secretly organized a surprise birthday party for her, calling all her friends.

I expected it to be a reunion of Polo but only Jan turned up. I don't know the rest... but they seemed to be her ex colleagues as well.... that explains how often she changed job and that those are her friends.... heh.... well why not...
Oh, yes... and when the couple sent us out, shaking hands, he said 'another big party' is coming up... i'm hearing the bell in full blast.

The turkish wrap kebab, forgot the name, agh! I can eat that everyday. But i'll have to find a buddy to share coz 1 portion is good for 2 for my asian tummy. or maybe not.

Gang RAPE - Rescue Mission

It was horrifying...

I came home and realized Patrick my secretive flatmate who's gone to China and never seen for the longest time have quietly added 3 gold fish in his tank.
The 3 obese gold fish among the others, were looking very uncomfortable in the crowded 10cm thick wall mounted tank, and I thought, poor goldies can relax in my tank....

After relocating the 2, I fell asleep.
I was awaken by the splish splash of the usually calm water.
I looked in horror my innocent little puffy cheek goldie was being attacked by the 2 fat merciless fish!!
At one point i thought they are going to burst not only the back but her cheeks!

I quickly took them back to where they belong and fed them anyhow.
My puffy is in shock but she's doing fine.

Entertaining guest is a hard Work!

Had dinner at QuaySeafood at Clarke Quay with David, the manager at Citi Finance Japan & the 3 support team girls who will be here for 3 weeks on training starting Monday. So to welcome their visit we got to know eachother a weekend early.
I am yet to meet Yuki-san because she had another appointment with her friend but there's Maiko - who declared she wants to go out everyday after work and sleep when she's back to japan.... I'm in trouble!
And there's Hisako-san who doesn't drink & party but a very pleasant girl.
Afterwards, we went to New Asia Bar. Had shots and shots and shots.... Top 40 music, the magnificent view was a hit.

All of us were admiring the dancer's tight butt.

Hisako left after New Asia Bar, and 3of us went to Attica's 2nd floor. It was just nice, not too packed, not too empty, house music was great.
