Last days in Asia... March - June 2012
So it was decided very quickly, but the process was slow.
In March, finally after a year of requesting, Matt's transfer to London office was confirmed.
On 12 April I quit my job with Goldman after 4 years of service.
End of April, mom came to pick Kian up to stay in Jakarta as we packed and shipped our stuff and handed over the flat. I was to be apart with Kian for a month...
On May 5, Matt left for UK and I moved to Bryony and Prindi's house.
I stayed back in Singapore waiting for my UK Visa approval.
I was enjoying my last freedom in Singapore but I couldn't bring myself to be completely happy...
Spent lots of girlfriends time which was precious. And the farewell parties...
On May 14, Kian got Dengue fever and with the urgent request visa was approved.
I went to pick Kian up in Jakarta on May 22, stayed for 2 weeks.
Back to Singapore on June 1, spent my birthday in KK Children's hospital as Kian's fever after 5 days did not subside. But Joy and Bryony came along for support :)
June 3 Matt arrived from London and we all migrated to London together on June 6.

Mid 2011

Kian started schooling at 18 months for 3 days a week. The rest of the time he plays in the part, kids gym and at the pool. What a nice life.

There was of course, the Ennichisai and Cosplay Competition in Jakarta organized by my dear sister and Daichan as well as dad and Rikki's birthday so in July we went to Jakarta twice. We had a combined July birthdays with the extended family, Zivel and Kuya.
Matt went back to Jakarta a week after for his Rugby tour.

Oh, and in May, to celebrate dad & mum's 40th Ruby Anniversary, Daichan, Emi and Rikki came to Singapore when dad and mum was here for visa. We went to Prima Revolving Restaurant for a visit to the memory lane and Indian food as per dad's request. Emi and I had a sisterly talk at the pool, Matt and Daichan went to the casino (results vary), mum took care of Rikki and Kian was running around as usual.

Early 2011
Went for a 1 week family vacation to Bali in February and took Marrieglo. We rented a house from Matt's friend. It rained except for 2days that we were there, but rainy Bali is also nice sometimes. It was totally relaxing...

In Singapore on weekends, we are usually busy with social life. Matt with Rugby related etc and me, I regularly host a Girls Night with my local friends. Inez is pregnant now, she is expecting in Jan 2012. Sam got married in September and Rachel is getting married in November. Peggy, Sharon and Shayli is still looking for suitors...

I also formed "イーストママの会”。Advertised for Japanese mums in the East who are looking for friends for their young child. I got about 10 in total and had 2-3 meetings at my place. Out of it, I met up with with Yasue-san for drinks few times. She is also a busy working mum who has a 3 year old son.
That was around March. Now, I seldom organize a meeting. I really should start organizing again...

Also Takenaka Ken-chan's wife Tomomi-san so so nice. I meet up with Mika-chan too when she is in Singapore, which is more often now that she is happily married and not working!
Oh yes, and Matt sold his beloved car because we were not using it at all. Since we moved to Ipoh Lane, MRT and bus is so convenient that we'll leave the car at home and during our off work time, we are out partying and 'drinking' so we take taxi. So to save money, he sold it! Rather quickly too.
